I am so glad I ordered this 'flex' fin! My Sport paddle board with the large fin it came with was not good in the varied depth water I paddle in. I'm always starting in a lake that is plenty deep so no problem there, but the best part of where I go is the bog and wetlands area beyond. The water becomes very shallow in spots and some of the deeper spots have trees that have been brought down by beavers or storms many years ago and are below the water. My first 2 times out with my original fin it kept getting hung up on things below the water or dragging in the shallowness of the boggy bottom. I have now tried this short, streamlined and flexible fin and I am able to get through some of these 'difficult but interesting' places with in the wetland. Excellent fin for wetlands and rivers!

I am so glad I purchased the river fin! I had no idea how handy it would be, I paddle alot in the old man river and the levels vary, this fin allowed me to stay on my board in shallow spots and paddle even when the water level was low. Highly recommend!

These were just what I needed to keep myself from dragging the bottom. :)

I used this stubby for the first time today and I was able to fly through shallows even better than I had anticipated. It was perfect for the whites. A really interesting feeling compared to my longer fin. I'm so happy to have this for these weeks when the rivers are running low.
