If you’re looking for a versatile board that will perform in all conditions, then look no further than the 9’8’’ Ride from Red Paddle Co. A popular inflatable SUP with smaller riders, this board is designed for all-round use – whether you enjoy the thrill of paddling in the surf, or the tranquillity of calm lakes.
As the smallest of the Ride family, it’s well-suited to lighter riders under 70kg/155lbs. However, that doesn’t mean that heavier riders can’t have fun on it too. At 9’8’’, it makes a great surf shape and can be used in shoulder to head-height waves.
The secret to this board’s versatility is its dimensions: 787mm/31” wide and 100mm/3.93” thick, which makes it stable yet manoeuvrable. Ergonomic tubular handles on all boards to give a cushioned, comfy grip when carrying your board.

Returns
You can return your items within 30 days of placing your order. Equipment should be un-used and with its original packaging and / or labelling intact and attached to the product. Items which don't have the labelling attached to the product will incur a 10% reconditioning charge which we will notify you after inspection of your return.
If we do not hear back from you within 4 days of contact we will return the items to you. All items are inspected before a refund is processed. Items deemed to be in a poor condition will be returned to you. If any item returned breaches any of the terms outlined in this policy, we reserve the right to return the item back to you in the same condition it was received in.

A SUPERB COSMETIC FINISH – All Red Paddle Co boards have an industry-leading cosmetic finish. No wrinkles or blemishes. The boards look cleaner and smoother and even feel better to the touch.
WEIGHT-SAVING BUT STABLE – All Red Paddle Co boards are up to 2kgs lighter than our previous double layer construction. But very importantly they are not too light. If a board is ultra-light it is more affected by wind and current while on the water. MSL boards have a reassuring lightweight feel.
STIFF AT LOWER PRESSURES – Due to the Torsion Stiffness effect all Red Paddle Co boards are stiffer at lower pressures compared to other products on the market. We recommend a pressure of between 16-22psi. Less pumping and more paddling.

Hi Red. Thanks for making this awesome board. I have the older version with 3 fins and it’s by far the best iSUP I’ve ever tried. Large and stabile enough for touring along the beach, small, stiff and agile enough for surfing small waves. Even large enough for me (78kg) and my daughter (~25kg) to cruise together in calm waters. However, I share other reviewers comments that the fins should be removable. It just takes too much space when folded together in a fully packed car while road-tripping. I have the Whip also, which I bring touring because it fits perfectly in my EV frunk, and I just can’t get the ride in there… But the Whip isn’t as all-round as the Ride 9”8. Please make a version with removable fins and I would for sure upgrade!

The 9'8" package is absolutely awesome. I bought it last week for my daughter as it is quite a lot thinner and lighter than my 2018 10'6". This is good news as I'm now carrying 2 boards to the beach. As its thinner its also much more stable at sea and we can now paddle together rather than taking turns which is magical.
I really like the quality of Red boards but I love their customer service. Its an expensive product and I was 50/50 on the cheaper 9'4" snapper or the more expensive ride 9'8" so I clicked the "Ask the Experts" button on the website and entered a few basic details and questions. Then next day I genuinely had my best ever online buying experience. I received an email with an embedded video from Charlotte in the Expert team who walked me around the board, its features, the RSS battons etc and the paddle. In the video she talked directly to my questions and to my daughter and I by name - it wasnt a prerecorded video. I really couldnt get over that she'd gone to the trouble of doing this. A first for me and an online experience. I followed up with a few questions, we spoke on the phone about delivery times and then as I wanted the board next day on a bank holiday I then bought the 9'8" in our local Red dealership (Board Riders in Hove - who are also brilliant, thanks James).
All in all, text book experience. thank you Red and particularly Charlotte.

This board has surprised me in how well it goes on the water. Paddled it for a week around Adelaide beaches so not really any swell, but it did manage to catch the one wave that broke al week and it rode well on that :) I really think it would benefit from a removable fin system though. As careful as I was packing it, the soft fins always come out bent after a trip in the car. Maybe due to higher temperature inside car in Oz vs UK? . They are relatively easy to straighten (see You-tube video on how) but it is a pain in the butt to have to keep doing it.
